Municipal Youth Council

The Electoral Assembly of the Municipal Youth Council of Athienou was held on July 25, 2020 in accordance with the provisions of the current Statute. The members of the Municipal Youth Council were divided into three age groups as follows: a) 15-18 years old, b) 19-26 years old and c) 27-35 years old. According to the submitted candidacies, a secret ballot was held for the election of the Council of Representatives, in the groups where the candidacies were more than 10. The Council of Representatives consists of 30 elected members, the Chairman of the Youth Committee of the Municipality of Athienou Mr. Petros Kolias and two additional members of the Municipal Council of Athienou aged 18-35, that were appointed, Mr. Pavlos Spyrou and Mr. Antonis Touloupis.

The Municipal Council of Athienou congratulates all the elected, with the belief that our young people will prove the strength of the team, cooperation and solidarity for the good and progress of Athienou.

The goal of the Athienou Youth Council for the promotion of creative employment, the development and cultivation of sports, culture, environmental awareness and volunteering, is slowly taking the path of its implementation.
